After 14 hours on a flight from New York, I landed at Narita International Airport. I got a resident card on the spot at the Immigration counter and cleared customs for my belongings (including those coming by air and boat later). This is my first day living in Japan, officially (June 18, 2016) and Japan is my third country I live in.
