Temperature 30F to 43F with Snow Shower
I walked a lot today, about 17,000 steps. I didn’t have any specific plans for today other than that I wanted to walk to get a latte from Stumptown Coffee Roasters at the ACE Hotel on E. 29th Street. I took the 2nd Avenue route today. There are some nice apartments around that area. The line at Stumptown was long as usual. I got a large latte today and sat and drank my latte in the lobby of the ACE Hotel as it was cold outside.
Then, I walked to Madison Park and had a chicken waffle for lunch at Hill Country Chicken. They only serve them until noon and I got there just in time for one of the few last servings of the day. It was good.
Then, I walked on Broadway to Union Square for a flea market. Here is a nice view of the Union Square.
After that, I walked on University Place to Washington Square. I wasn’t sure if it is Spring Break now but it seemed quiet around NYU. There was another film crew filming something at Washing Square.
On the way back, I walked up 6th Avenue and turned left on W. 18th Street because there were a ton of people waiting in line for something at the Metropolitan Pavilion. I found out later that they were waiting for the NYC Vegetarian Food Festival. Next to the Pavilion, there was a David Yurman Sample Sale event. There were some nice watches and men’s accessories on sale.
I stopped by the Loehmann’s store on 7th Avenue because there was an event promoting their men’s section. I don’t get it but they were serving water and finger food in the men’s department.
I walked home though 42nd Street. Thought about going to see a movie but didn’t do it. I got a black forest cupcake from Zorro’s at Grand Central for a snack. I was so tired by the time I got home I just sat and watched TV. For dinner, I had a dan dan noodles from Mee Noodles.
